Dot Sheehan is the Founder, President and CEO of Operation Hat Trick, a non profit organization that “supports the recovery of wounded service members and veterans through the sale of OHT branded merchandise,proceeds of which are donated to those organizations that support OHT’s mission”. From a simple idea, Dot has created a brand that has grown into a multi million dollar business at retail and is a globally recognized.
Prior to Operation Hat Trick, Dot was the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations at the University of New Hampshire for almost 20 years. She oversaw all areas that affected the external public at this Division I, 20-sport University.
Prior to her time in the Athletic Department, Dot was President of Sheehan Sports Marketing, a consulting firm that represented professional athletes on the marketing side of their lives. She forged partnerships with corporations whose goal was to have their brand partnered with sports.
Dot was one of the first female “agents” in sports and has continued to work with women whose goal is to make sports their career. In 2012, she was awarded the UNH Alumni Association Profile of Service Award for contributions made to the university. She also received the 2013 Innovators’ Award for her vision and work with Operation Hat Trick. She is the first female and the first UNH staff member to receive the award.
Dot lives in Hampton, NH.
Steve Hardy is the father of Nate Hardy, to whom OHT is dedicated. Steve retired in 2014 as professor of kinesiology and affiliate professor of history at the University of New Hampshire, where he won awards for excellence in research and teaching.
Before UNH, Steve taught sport management and sport studies at the University of Washington, Robert Morris College, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Massachusetts. His publications include How Boston Played (1982, 2003), Sport Marketing (1993, 2000, 2007), and numerous articles, book chapters, and reviews in academic presses. His new book (with Andrew Holman) Hockey: A Global History will be published by University of Illinois Press in November 2018.
Steve and his wife Donna (pictured with Steve, above right) live in Durham, N.H., where they raised three wonderful sons: Josh, Ben, and Nate. Josh died of brain cancer in 1993 at age 18. Ben is married and lives happily in Vermont.

His skillset spans marketing; branding; communications; fund raising; cause marketing; content creation; and corporate social responsibility.
The first entrepreneurial start-up he co-founded – Beaupre & Co. Public Relations – was acquired by a $13 billion NYSE traded company. More than 30 Beaupre & Co. clients were acquired in successful M&A (merger & acquisition) deals, a cumulative value exceeding $16 billion. Currently, Andy is founder of Soulful Advantage- his second start-up – which helps companies and organizations discover, develop and express meaningful competitive differentiation.
Before founding Soulful Advantage and Beaupre & Co., Andy worked for The Muscular Dystrophy Association; Prime Computer (which became a Fortune 500 company) and The Strayton Corporation, America’s first tech focused PR firm. Third party recognition of Andy’s results impact includes a 2017 Engage For Good HALO award (www.engageforgood.org) for cause marketing; Silver Anvils; Super Bells; Bronze Anvils; and SABRE awards.
Andy has been a pro bono strategic communications advisor to University of New Hampshire (UNH) Presidents and a board member of the UNH Foundation. He holds board positions with Operation Hat Trick (OHT) and NH Hunger Solutions. Social cause issues he cares about include hunger; injured veterans; child and youth advocacy; higher-education; cancer; STEM; entrepreneurial support within developing nations; sustainability and the environment.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude in communications from the University of New Hampshire. An avid photographer (www.beauprephotography.com), he lives in Dover, NH.
Jim Clanton is currently the Collegiate Brand Manager for Hanes Brands, Inc., in Winston-Salem, NC. Prior to this, Jim was the Director of Trademark Licensing for Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, where he was very active in supporting Operation Hat Trick during his five years at the University. Jim and ODU have been recipients of the OHT Excellence in Service Award – an award that recognizes licensing directors and universities that make exceptional commitments to the OHT program. Jim was the driving force for implementing many unique programs that have resulted in positive recognition and outreach to ODU’s extensive military community while also driving the sale of OHT co-branded products.
Prior to arriving at ODU in 2014, Jim worked for Birmingham, Alabama based retailer Hibbett Sports for 14 years. He has experience in both Major League Baseball and the collegiate licensed product industries. As a collegiate licensed buyer for Hibbett Sports, he helped manage over 70 College and University assortments operating in over 900 locations in 26 states.
Jim received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Troy University in 1993 and was a member of the Troy football team where he earned his letter in 1990 and 1991. He is originally from Oneonta, Alabama and married to Lani Graphos-Clanton. He enjoys just about any sporting event, traveling, spending time with his dog Oliver, and learning how to be a foodie with his wife.
Ann Clasby is the President and Co-Founder of Soul Sisters for a Cause,a strategic marketing company focused to support mission-based organizations,non-profits and corporate social responsibility programs broaden their social impact.
Ann has 25+ years of sales and business development experience and led teams in fast-paced environments to increase sales and market share. She is also the former Sales Manager and Sales Leader for Quad/Graphics,where she founded two new business facilities in Minneapolis and Dallas. Years later she moved into licensing as an executive at Meesh & Mia, a start-up company for women’s licensed fashion for the NCAA and NFL.
Ann earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University. She lives in Coppell, Texas with her husband Michael and their two amazing children.
Chip Kelleher works in wealth management at Bessemer Trust, a privately held, multifamily office. He is also a Regional Director for the Naval War College Foundation in Newport, RI.
Chip is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Upon graduation from Annapolis, Chip was commissioned as an officer in the Navy and earned his designation as a Naval Aviator flying SH60 SEAHAWK helicopters. He went on to serve with the Marines of 2d ANGLICO as a Joint Tactical Air Controller leading teams in combat operations in Iraq. It was in this capacity that Chip served alongside CPO Nate Hardy in Anbar Province.
Chip left the service in 2008. He lives in Alpharetta,GA with his wife Kristine and their incredible kids. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth lacrosse, and is an avid outdoorsman.
Denise is currently the VP of Partner Services with IMG College Licensing and has spent decades in the collegiate brand management, retail and licensing industries. Denise has received impressive accolades for her work, including receiving the coveted International Collegiate Licensing Association’s Licensing Director of the Year Award and CASE Awards for her work.
Denise’s innovative efforts have led to many industry mosts, onlys, and firsts, including developing the first licensed collegiate coffee program, first licensed collegiate water, and the first tourist focused brand extension (Griz Gear) by a university. She has invented numerous in-store and online collateral and promotional concepts, including the first ever collegiate branded wedding, the first full size cut outs used in college, and the first “unpack and stack” collateral packages in the collegiate industry. Denise was also a key driver in securing higher brand value while at the University of Montana – an effort since emulated by the rest of the industry.
Perhaps no other individual in the entire collegiate licensing industry is as well connected as Denise Lamb. In addition to having deep relationships with hundreds of the leading universities in the country, she has direct access to the decision makers at many major collegiate retailers. She is also closely tied to nearly all of the major collegiate licensees that supply the country’s top retailers.
Denise has owned and operated collegiate retail stores in Arizona and Montana. Her ownership and operation of collegiate stores has given her direct expert knowledge on the challenges and opportunities associated with collegiate/sports retail.
In addition to serving a stint on the ICLA Board of Directors she has served on the University of Montana athletic booster club, the Missoula Downtown Association, the Montana Computer Science Fair, and her local school board. She has also been an integral marketing and retail strategy contributor to Operation Hat Trick since its evolution into a national program in 2012.
Denise lives in Montana where she is an avid fly fisher, hiker, golfer, and skier. She is the proud mother of two adult sons.
Marc Sedam, Associate Vice Provost for Innovation and New Ventures and Managing Director of UNHInnovation, joined UNH in November 2010. Sedam has an extensive background in intellectual asset management, licensing, and start-up formation. In addition to his position with UNH, he was the founding director of the Peter T. Paul Entrepreneurship Center and serves as the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Innovation Research Center, New Hampshire’s only translational research funding program. Marc is currently the PI of UNH’s National Science Foundation I-Corps Site and is a sitting member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) Board of Directors.
Sedam is very active in New Hampshire building the innovation ecosystem. UNH was awarded the “Campus Culture and Policy Award” from VentureWell in recognition for rapid scaling and success of the university’s entrepreneurial efforts. In addition, UNH has been the largest financial supporter of the NH startup community since 2010, investing over $1.5MM. Sedam served on the Board of Directors of NHICC/AlphaLoft from 2011-2016 and as Vice-Chair of the Board of Alpha Loft between 2014-2015. He has been a member of the NH Governor’s “Live Free and Start” advisory council, an initiative designed to help high tech companies succeed in New Hampshire, since its inception in 2014 and also serves as an advisor to the boards of two non-profits founded at UNH: Operation Hat Trick and PLAN (Post-Landfill Action Network). Sedam also served on the AUTM Board of Directors between 2015-2016 as the Vice President for Professional Development, a role responsible for AUTM’s education and training activities.
Prior to UNH, Sedam was the Chief Operating Officer of Qualyst, Inc., the global leader in the study of pharmaceutically relevant drug transport interactions (acquired in 2017 by BioreclamationIVT). Sedam also served as the Associate Director for Life Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s technology transfer office, helping make UNC one of the top US university in start-up formation in 2001. Marc’s work at National Starch and Chemical Company as a food enzymologist, and was an inventor on a patented product with peak sales exceeding $50MM/year; this product won the “2003 Product of the Year” from the Institute for Food Technology. Sedam has a B.S. in biochemistry from The University of New Hampshire and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with a focus on entrepreneurship and new ventures. Additionally, he is a well-known lecturer on the topics of university innovation and start-up formation.
Brian White is a Vice President and 22-year veteran with IMG College Licensing (a WME company) responsible for overseeing IMGCL’s management, protection, and marketing of some of the nation’s leading collegiate brands. Brian has been on the leading edge of some of the biggest innovations and trendsetting in collegiate licensing history – efforts that have yielded hundreds of millions of dollars in scholarship funding for institutions of higher learning. Brian is the recipient of the Chairman’s Award from industry progenitor William R. Battle as well as the prestigious Joe and Marie Rolle Spirit Award. His work has also been awarded by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
Brian has been very actively involved with Operation Hat Trick (OHT) since its transition from a local charitable concept into an international philanthropic co-brand. Brian was initially tapped by Dot Sheehan to devise the OHT brand/co-brand licensing strategy and has since remained integrally involved in the implementation of strategic branding and marketing objectives for the program.
Brian, an honors graduate of Northern Arizona University, has also owned and operated a collegiate retail store. He has served as president of the board of the Lumberjack Athletic Association, responsible for raising money for NAU Athletics, on the board of NAU’s College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, and on the board of Flagstaff’s Master Chorale. Brian and his wife Alison have four sons and live in Sedona, Ariz.
